I take a kind, collaborative, supportive yet direct approach to therapy. My goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence to understand your past without judgment, take ownership of your present, and take positive steps towards your ideal future. I combine research-based therapy, education and candid conversations.
Whatever your or your family's current struggle may be, I focus on “progress, not perfection.” I’ll hold you accountable, always treating you with respect, sensitivity, honesty and compassion. We will explore the relational, thought and behavioral patterns that have fostered your successes and limited you from reaching your full potential. I'll equip you with skills to draw on the strengths you already have to build a better functioning, stronger self.
My approach is tailored to each client, drawing most from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Self-Compassion therapies. Since each client has different needs, and needs change over time, our work together will have some trial and error to fine tune how best to support you. It will also entail open and honest discussion, which in and of itself can be a challenge for many people. Therapy is the safest space to practice new modes of communication - both with others and with yourself.
I'll work tirelessly to help you move forward. Meet me half way, you'll find a patient partner and coach to encourage you, sit with you, and remind you to be kind to yourself (and your partner or family members) along the way.
Let’s get straight to the hard work your future self will thank you for!
